Feature and Follow Friday (My 1st time)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where you can meet new bloggers and gain more followers! You just need to answer a random question and link it.

 Q. Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

A: It really depends on what book I am reading. I can read two different books at the same time as long as they're from two different genres. Like I can read a novel by Ken Follett then stopped for a while, and then read an inspirational novel. Just taking a little break, but the problem is when I forgot what happened to the story and flip a few pages back for me to remember it. :D

  1. Welcome to FF!!! Usually when I am reading two at once they are different genre as well...helps me keep them separate!

    Thanks for stopping by LIO!

  2. New follower - thanks for stopping by.

I never could commit myself to just one book . . . if I'm not in the mood for dragons and magic today, I'd rather switch gears to space travel or a black-ops assassination than allow my mood to ruin the first read.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to remember where you left off in a book when you've put it aside for a few days :)

  4. Welcome to FF! Having different genres going is a good way to stay enthused about everything you are reading. Sometimes you just get a craving for a few pages of NOT what you are currently reading.

  5. I agree with you, the only way I could read two books at the same time is if they were two different genres.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. I try to read one book at a time. If I'm not enjoying it, I sometimes tend to pick up a second book.

  9. I agree about reading two different genres. It's easier to not mix them up that way. My Follow Friday

  16. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I think I would get too confused and start thinking the inspiration book somehow ties in with the other book. Idk. That's why I couldn't read for pleasure in school I guess...

    I'm following you now too!

  18. It all really depends on the type of book. If it's too boring for me, I might switch off to a different book and come back for it later, just to see if it still holds interest.

Thanks for stopping by and following. Am now following your blog too,

  25. Following back. The idea of flipping back isnt so bad, its what I do alot of the time to avoid confusion. I like that if you reas two at a time you pick different genres... smart thinking

  26. I always have more than 4 books on my currently-reading-shelf on GR. I read pretty fast, so I can easily read 5+ at a time and still remember every one of them. :)
Thanks for stopping by my FF, following you back now.
    Have a great weekend!

  28. Thanks for coming by earlier. I think that would be my problem if I really tried more than one at a time. I'd end up spending so much time flipping back to remember what was going on.

  29. That's what I do sometimes. I usually read one book at a time so I can focus all my attention towards it, but I'll also read a few at the same time if they're far apart enough so they don't get jumbled up. But I usually read a book so fast I don't have time to pick up another book to try unless I really hate it. ;)

Thanks so much for following me, I'm following back!
