Our Weekend Staycation at Cocoon Boutique Hotel

Hello dearies! We've been slacking, err not really, quite blessed if I must say that we spent our weekend (Feb.20-21) in a hotel. I fetched the little lady at school last Friday afternoon after her role as a "homeless child" in their SIG group, fixed our things, and went straight to have our R&R (rest and relaxation) at Cocoon Boutique Hotel.
It says in their site that cocoon is "a sanctuary that covers you in softness". They also have eco-friendly practices and facilities which you can check here.
Amenities:
  • 32" LED Cable TV with USB port for DVD, MP3
  • Inverter air-conditioning
  • Coffee/Tea Service, Minibar, Hair Dryer
  • In-room Electronic Safe
  • 3-units IDD/NDD telephone set-up
  • High-speed internet access in the room
We stayed in their "Deluxe Room" with two double beds. The room is not that big but spacious enough for three persons. The light would be a bit "dim" with kids around (you can call them to adjust the lighting) but I love that it has a window with thick curtains so you can still enjoy the natural light outside. The bed is big - good for two people but you can opt to go solo to enjoy the bed's comfort. The bed is super-super mega mega comfortable (as in!). I researched about it and found out they are using Memory Foam for the bed.
What does a Memory Foam do?

It is soft and readily molds itself to the contours of your body, providing support for the whole body. It also has a sensation of warmth, helping to creating that cozy feel, so important to a good night’s sleep.

Kaya naman pala! =) The beddings have a very nice feeling, very soft and smooth. The pillows create a very restful feeling, simply amazing and of excellent quality.
The bathroom is big with a bathtub and a shower. What I love about the bathroom is that it is open (with glass walls) but with Venetian blinds so you can soak in the bathtub while watching TV and if your kid/s are playing in the tub, you can still monitor them while you are outside the bathroom. Their towels, bathrobes and other bathroom stuff are all clean and neatly stacked.
The food is OK but there's nothing unique or special about it.
Dinner: Salmon, Chicken BBQ, Fried Tawilis
Breakfast: Pancakes for the little lady, Sweet Ham, Bacon, Tinapa (all served with rice/bread and coffee)
Snack: Fettuccine Carbonara, Spaghetti Bolognese, and BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato) served with fries
Buffet: Choice of juice, brewed coffee, different kinds of bread, muffins and pastries, fruits, and soup. There's also the omelet and pancake station.

The breakfast is good and oh I love their bacon! They have a buffet breakfast but with limited choices so we ordered ala carte meals. The pasta dishes taste good too. I can't say the same with our dinner. The food is a little bland for our taste. The hotel has choices of restaurant, coffee shop, bar, and tea shop also.

They have a pool at the 6th floor but it's just small and 4 ft. deep. The kids will still love it though.
Cocoon Boutique Hotel cater to events, meeting, and conventions. They also have an exercise room, Spa, Aesthetic Clinic, and Salon.

In a scale of 1-10 where 10 is best, I give Cocoon Boutique Hotel:

Relaxation/Bedroom/Room amenities: 9
Bathroom: 9
Food: 7
Leisure/Pool: 8
Value for Money: 8
In overall, we had a relaxed stay and Meg enjoyed.

  1. I've been wanting to stay here, but I wasn't sure if it was worth the expense. Would you say that it is? Value for money? :)
