Hello guys! If you love Korean food as much as I do, check out Gangnam Wings at the Megastrip Building A of SM Megamall, Ortigas Center. I had the opportunity to attend the launch of their chicken menus and I loved it!

The restobar has a beautiful entrance and you can feel the Korean vibe once you are inside.
Gangnam Wings President-CEO Mr. Rinky Tuano opened the program and welcomed us all.
"We're just eight months old. It was December 8, 2016 when Gangnam Wings was first opened. The concept came from Singapore and we did the business development. We went to Korea, specifically in Gangnam District where you can see lots of chicken businesses. This (the GW branch in SM Megamall) is our pioneer branch and we’re looking forward to expand GW branches in Mall of Asia, Iloilo, and Pampanga in the coming years," Mr. Rinky Tuano says.

During the launch, they served us with Gangnam Original (Crispy) Wings, Gangnam Yangnyum (Sweet) Wings, Gangnam Spicy (Spicy and Sweet) Wings, and Gangnam Ganjan(Soya)Wings. They also offer a wide selection of authentic Korean dishes and fusion to meet the taste of every Filipino like Yangpa Bomb, Kimchi Fries, Japchae noodles, Budae JJigae, Soju cocktails, and Bingsu desserts.

All yummy! That big bowl of Budae Jjigae has EVERYTHING. It doesn't have that overpowering taste and I love the flavor with the seafood and fish cakes in it. Their Kimchi fried rice is also delicious. I recommend you pair it with their authentic Korean chicken and you'll have a meal that you definitely need in your life. 😃
Also during the launch, they held the "Lord of the Wings" challenge. Mr. Lord Ancheta won the challenge eating a total of six chicken wings in five minutes. (Suits his name, noh?!) 😄

They also conducted the ‘Battle of the Wings” where there are two sets of five blind-folded customers to choose their preferred chicken wings labelled BRAND A and BRAND B as they do the taste test.  As a result, eight out of ten people chose Brand A which was later on revealed as Gangnam Wings.
Good food is to be enjoyed and I can say that  Gangnam Wings live up to their tagline "The Way Korean Fried Chicken Should Be" as they continue to provide the love for Korean food authenticity, good food, and good service.

Last June 17, we went to Batangas to celebrate my sister's birthday. We booked at Casa Astillero, Calatagan Batangas. It is a camping site with rooms, tents, open cottages, and kubo. The place is OK but can use some improvement.

We stayed at their room which I think can fit a barkada. We're 8 in the room and it's quite comfortable naman. No fancy stuff like in hotels because as I've said, it is a camping site. We just preferred to stay in the room because of Nanay and the kids.

The place is full (but not crowded) with campers in the tents and cottages. We rented an open cottage outside where we ate. You can also rent an appliance for ₱300.

The original plan is to have lunch in their balsa cottage but turned out they don't really maintain the balsa, madumi and malumot. I mean we would want to spent the entire afternoon there. We cancelled the "balsa plan" but the manong suggested a more swimmable beach area compared to Casa. Yes, di masyadong ok yung beach nila. Malumot nga plus the part na clear naman e mabato.

So we went to the other side and it turned out it was the Manuel Uy beach resort. It was a 10-15 minutes boat ride.
The water is clean and the beach is shallow so the kids enjoyed it. We stayed there for an hour and a half.
The following day is ate's birthday. The kids surprised (kind of?!) her and decorated the cake that bunso baked.
After we checked out, we went to Caleruega. We just prayed and left for lunch since we already visited the place a few times already.
We ate lunch at Char's Garden Café Tagaytay. Visit this place, guys; if you want a great homey vibe, good food, and value for your money.

That's it! I am so grateful we were able to spend quality time together over great food, beautiful place, swimming fun, adventure, and real-life experiences. I am looking forward to more trips and sunsets like this. ↓

When I started with my weight loss journey, I cut out rice in my diet. I substituted it with "saging na saba and kamote". A year and a half and a lot of pounds lost, I know I need to keep my weight off but I can't surely skip rice the entirety of my life.

Last July 28, 2017, American Technologies, Inc. unveiled a revolutionary rice cooker that is the first of its kind -- GRAYNS. Kevin Co, CEO of Grayns Philippines has been advocating a healthy lifestyle since he brought the rice cooker in the country. Also during the media launch, Joseph Pagulayan, a fitness guru, discussed that the causes of obesity include poor nutrition and lack of mobility. He also encouraged everyone to be active and live healthy.
GRAYNS is a healthy rice cooker that uses advanced technology to remove starch from rice and other starch sources lowering calorie content as well as glycemic load. But why do we need to remove the starch in our rice? Starch is a carbohydrate with glucose bonds, meaning that's sugar -- causing high sugar level and weight problem.
With Grayns, you can enjoy eating rice while lessening calories. Furthermore, it's very user-friendly, multi-functional, and has a memory function that lets you personalize the rice setting you want based on softness and moisture level. The body is heavy duty and aesthetically designed, with interiors made of 100% stainless steel.

Watch the video below to know how easy it is to clean Grayns.

I eat rice once a week (yes, I got used to it already). I've tried brown rice and now I am currently using Black rice. The problem with it is that it takes a lot of time with the preparation and cooking. I mean you can't afford to do this on a daily basis especially if you are working like me. Now the good thing also with Grayns is you can use it in any kind of rice and may be customize according to your preference. 👍

With this revolutionary rice cooker, we can jumpstart a healthy change in our lifestyle. As they say, there is nothing in our life that is more valuable than good health.

*This rice cooker is priced at 27,000 and is now available at Rustans and Abenson.
"I love you, Piolo!"

Who doesn't know Papa P? I mean sa pagka-hunk niya and all, many people identify him as the ultimate heartthrob in the country. But he's not just about looks and charm. Whenever I see him on TV, I always think of him as the clean-good-smelling-fresh-all-day-guy-next door.

But how does Papa P keep his "amoy-artista" scent?

Last Tuesday (July 4), he had an intimate fans' day. I had the chance to see how supportive his fans were. Ang bobongga nila!

In that event, he gave away his secret on managing that napakafresh na smell all day. Watch the video!

It's not a new perfume guys, it's the new Tide Perfume Fantasy!
The new detergent has Downy Perfume microcapsules that clings to clothes even when exposed to malodors. Kaya pala parang naka-perfume everyday si Piolo!

Promise, ang bango ni Papa P guys. Katabi ko siya, o!
So guys, you can also achieve that "amoy-artista" scent for only six pesos per sachet. Take it from Piolo, you don't have to feel insecure and for sure you will smell fresh all day with the new Tide Perfume Fantasy. 💜

Hello, everyone! For this post, I'd be sharing our family's cozy place when we want to dine and be comfortable or somewhat eat quietly without distractions.

All Day Cafe is located at the ground floor of the Holiday Spa building in D. Tuazon, Quezon City. My sister was the one who introduced it to me and good enough, we also liked it.

Here are some of the dishes we have tried so far...
Ham and Cheese Panini, Carbonara, Seafood Pasta Arrabbiata, Oreo Cookie, and White Chocolate Mocha
We like the carbonara; it's creamy and very filling. The seafood pasta is good but super spicy. Hindi pwede sa bagets! 🤤
Seafood Lomi, Grilled Cheese Panini, and Cafe Latte
The Grilled Cheese Panini is always included in our order because it's really good. Syempre if it's my coffee, always latte. 👌 It was our first time to order their seafood lomi and it is surprisingly good. As in! The serving is good for 2-3 people.
You should try their espresso and ice blended beverages. Happy naman ako sa mga coffee nila.
Grilled Cheese Panini
Brownie ala Mode
I ordered this for Meg and the only thing we don't like about this dessert is that matigas yung brownie. The Clubhouse Sandwich is just ok but I'll still go for their panini.
Clubhouse Sandwich
I think this US Beef Tapa is their bestseller. It's soft and tasty, perfect sa garlic rice!
US Beef Tapa
These two dishes from their Main Entree are also satisfying but I forgot the name of the other dish. I think the other one is Pork Steak, basta both masarap. 😀
Overall, the place has a nice atmosphere where you can chill and eat good food with reasonable price. We'd definitely be going back to this homey All Day Cafe.

Hello, everyone! For this post, I'd be sharing our family's cozy place when we want to dine and be comfortable or somewhat eat quiet...
Hello, everyone! Well this is basically my first post with my new domain. This momma got #Chickenpox and I am currently dealing with the scars using honey and Virgin Coconut Oil. Do you have any other suggestions aside from these two?  😭

Anyway, Meg and her cousin Kieran joined the SAGALA 2017 of the Chapel of St. Lazarus. It was scheduled weeks before I got sick so we can't really cancel it. I wasn't able to go so I am thankful for my family to be there.
Look at Meg, o! Nagmukhang dalaga dahil sa make-up. I can't go near her because of my Chickenpox, kung keri ko lang ako na sana nag-ayos hahay... She was still very pretty (of course!) but I'm looking for my baby hehe... 👧
Anyway, here are some of the pictures which my sister took. Thanks, bunso!

This is not the usual Santacruzan for the ladies with Reyna Elena. It's just for kids and they offered flowers after the procession.
Meg said she might do this again (not next year) but when she turns high school na daw. They were really tired but at least they got to experience Flores de Mayo not only because it is a Catholic tradition but also learned the value of prayer and offering flowers to Mama Mary. 🙏

Hello, everyone! Well this is basically my first post with my new domain. This momma got #Chickenpox and I am currently dealing with the sca...
Getting a good education for my daughter has always been my priority. I believe that as a parent, I should give Meg the right training for her to be ready in the future - whether she will become a lawyer, a veterinarian, or a flight attendant.

More than the profession, I think it is also important to build a strong foundation of learning that will be their building blocks as they grow. Good thing that there are a lot of options now that can help kids develop their potentials.

Last May 4, we were able to experience what Sparklelab has to offer. Actually, when we were invited to the trial class, I thought it's just based on Engineering stuff and Math. But what they actually do is design play based learning experiences mainly in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Their main objective is to prepare kids for success in the future by teaching them critical 21st century skills such as Imagining, Research/Finding Inspiration, Exploring, tinkering and experimenting, Designing, procedural thinking, Collaborating and Connecting/Sharing, and a lot more.

Watch the video to meet the people behind Sparklelab and the stop-motion animation film that the kids made!
The kids were able to experience making their own stop-motion animation film. The first group used clay and Nursery rhymes so they've come up with Dumpty Dumpty (sorry I wrote Humpty Dumpty sa video), and the other group used toy soldier figures and bricks for their Zombie Apocalypse. It was actually fun!
Sparklelab also has workshops in game design and development, toy making, robotics, electronics, film making, and animation.

I asked Rosanna (the founder) if the kids get intimidated especially if they're not good at Arts or Math or if they're not used to work in groups and she said no and added that the kids in fact love to go at Sparklelab. Well, Meg was shy at first but when they were grouped, the facilitator motivated her to do her part and she designed the background for their stop-motion animation film. So I think that really is something. What I also love about Sparklelab is that they work in groups so it can improve on the social interaction and team work among kids.
They sure had fun!

They still have on-going workshops this summer so if you guys are interested for a free trial just contact them. The workshop consists of 6 sessions of 3 hours each for ₱8,500.00. The group size is between 5-12 kids.

For kids 7-18 years old, they offer Game Makers 1, Game Makers 2, Toy Mill: Mad Scientist's lab, and Get Reel: The Art of Stop Motion. They also have the Bytesize program for kids 3.5 - 6 years old. It is a two-hour play group filled with stories, wacky design jams and lots of play.
Sparklelab team
Investing on something like this is valuable because this is something I personally believe in -- nurturing the education of our kids. While they fall in love with learning, they will be able to solve problems on their own and innovate something. So I guess that's making learning Extraordinary with Sparkle LAB.

As a way of saying "Thank you", Super8 Grocery Warehouse brings their annual Funfest to let their card holders and loyal customers experience a wide variety of deals and discounts from all their business partners. Not only that, there are also a lot of freebies plus entertainment during the event so customers sure have a lot of fun while doing their groceries.
For this year, Super8 Grocery Warehouse's Funfest had their theme "Bida ka sa Savings Serye" which was held last April 27-29, 2017 at the World Trade Center. It opened around 9:00 AM and I was surprised that there are a lot of people already when I arrived at the venue. As in big event ito mga Momshies at Popshies!
As soon as the ceremony opened, shoppers flocked to the entrance. Everyone wanted to be the first to discover what deals are in store for them.
For a big event like this, I appreciate Super8's effort to do this in a big venue so people are comfortable. There are different food stalls and tables and chairs for the shoppers to sit and eat after grocery shopping. There are clean restrooms with staff on duty to check its cleanliness.

Upon entering, you will see the different booths with great deals and discounts. May mga games at kung ano-anong pakulo. Bongga talaga! I also love the teleserye-themed booths. You won't definitely get bored while grocery shopping. Though it's a big hassle to go around the area because of the crowd, I see this as a good problem because people were able to get a lot of good deals during the Funfest. I just noticed though that there are kids around, so I guess if you want to attend next year's event, just don't bring the kids along (if possible).
With the aim of offering the utmost value for everyone, Super8 continues in ensuring they have happy and satisfied customers. I guess that's really BIG and LUCKY for all their loyal patrons as well.
